Accept what is. Trust the process. Be patient for the outcome. Lauren Danielle
Many people ask me how did I get to the person I am today. It wasn’t simple or easy. People tend to think enlightenment is peaceful and tranquil, but honestly it could seem like HELL.
Are you currently on your spiritual journey? Is it what you thought it was going to be? I had NO IDEA this journey would be this difficult. Well, I'm here to tell you I made it and I'm still making it. The journey only continues...
Unknowingly, my spiritual journey began in 2013. I was one of those people that you would never know that something was wrong. I was a PROFESSIONAL mask wearer. As the years went on, the more hell I caused for myself. Well, one day I just got sick of being sick and tired. I officially began my spiritual journey in 2016. Yes, it took me three WHOLE years to say NO TO #FEAR.
Meet Toxic Lauren, 2013
I began my journey by reading spiritual books and other resources. The Life You Were Born to Live: A Guide to Finding Your Life Purpose by Dan Mill was the first book that I purchased. This book opened my eyes to new, yet familiar world.
I was hardly ever a active or fit person. I decided to embark on a fitness journey with #yoga. I attend HOT yoga classes almost everyday. (I went in with a bang lol) After I while, I transitioned to yoga without heat. I then began to realize that I myself could teach yoga and would love it. I have always wanted to be a teacher!
In 2016, I participated in a intensive 200-hour #Egyptian Yoga certification in Portland, Jamaica. This place is simply AMAZING! I spent two weeks there. This experience alone was a spiritual journey. I will #journal about this later.
Meet Not-so Toxic Lauren, Portalnd Jamaica 2016
From there, I began to continue to seek opportunities to #heal myself and to #support others. Certainly, there is no one fix fits all button. Or poof you are #healed switch. I wish there was, sheesh. Lol. What I learned along my journey is that those tough experiences are only here to make you an expert. I put in the work and still am putting it in! Thank #God I don't look like what I've been through because BABY, WHEW!
Where are you in your spiritual journey? What does it look like? How does it feel? I'm sure it may be tough, but don't give up! Let's vibe in the comments!
